A 2009 Grammy nominee for Best R&B Album, for "The Way I See It," Raphael Saadiq started his musical career as the lead vocalist and bass player in the late '80s new jack swing group Tony! Toni! Toné! He later produced Joss Stone's third album, "Introducing Joss Stone," as well as songs for D'Angelo, Musiq (Soulchild), Mary J. Blige and dozens more.
